Of course, a clean scalp will always promote better hair growth and hydrates your hair. Shampooing of hair will remove the oils, dirt, sweat on your scalp that lead to dandruff or other hair problems which affect the rate of hair growth.
Although you must not shampoo hair daily because it strips away the natural oils from your scalp. Shampooing hair on alternate days is fine to an extent. Step 4: Steam up your hair
Blow drying hair may be the worst application but steaming hair is beneficial. When your hair is damaged, coloured, heat treated, steaming up hair is one of the best things you can do to grow a healthy and strong hair.
The heat produced from steam will hydrate dry hair and retain back the moisture. So, no more dry hair or parched tresses. Not just that, steaming also provides softness and growth to hair.
The steam will lift the hair cuticles and allows all the treatments you’ve done to your hair to penetrate deep into the hair shaft. Thereby, no dry, dull and damaged hair.
You must steam up your hair once a week. Weekly dosage of steam will add hydration to your hair. Steam for about 20-30 minutes. Let your cuticles and ends of hair absorb all that treatment done to your hair.
But remember not to overdo steaming. It must be done only once or twice a week. More than that can cause over-moisturizing effects. Over moist hair can weaken the scalp or hair shaft and lead to hair breakage.
Once you’re done with steaming cool down your hair. Cooling hair will seal all the benefits of treatment.
Step 5: Apply a leave-in conditioner
You should follow the basic hair rule which is “Shampoo – Condition – Leave-in conditioner”. Applying a leave-in conditioner will seal the moisture. Like a sunscreen that protects skin from sun’s UV rays, leave-in conditioners protect hair and scalp from the harmful sun’s rays.
It’s a great protectant not only from sun’s rays but also from dust, pollutants, grime, and oils. If this bad stuff is eradicated or prevented that eventually leads to a healthy scalp and strong hair.
Take few drops of leave-in conditioner into your palms, rub them in your palms and run your fingers over your hair from the roots to the top section of hair. One amongst the best leave-in conditioner is Bblunt anti-frizz leave-in conditioner.
If a store-bought conditioner is not satisfying your needs, you can always go natural with the natural ingredients. You can make a serum from Aloe vera gel, Vitamin E oil and Argan oil and store that in a bottle so that you can apply after each time you hop out of the shower.
Step 6: The Final touch!
Finally, once you’re done with applying a leave-in conditioner, run your comb through hair nicely. Then after few minutes if you’re applying a natural homemade conditioner wipe it off with a wet napkin. And Viola! That’s the end to your Indian hair care routine. Now, your hair is fully prepped and got all the elements required for a healthy and strong hair.
Your hair needs all that pamper and care at least few times a week. Incorporate this simple 6 steps Indian hair care routine in your routine to acquire a healthy, nourished and strong hair.
